Day Eleven: Chi-Town Love. I started wandering around my hotel and got carried away. I kept walking, and eventually hopped a bus to downtown (not far at all). I grabbed some awesome fresh Italian pizza and coffee down there…the slow food movement makes perfect sense now, everything tastes so much better than in the states. I didn’t see a single Starbucks…awesome. I ended up covering most of the city on foot and have some pretty good pictures of the Vatican and the Ruins..but I’ll save that for a post when I go again with friends and have a real camera. I took this picture right outside the gates of Loyola’s Rome campus, it seemed fitting. Hope everyone back in Chicago has a great semester, I’ll see you guys in August.

Day Ten: en route to Rome! Birthday present from my sister put me in this awesome lounge for my 7 hour layover in NYC. Top shelf open bar and amazing Indian food. Loading up before this flight. Ciao

Day Nine: Happy Birthday. Last day in the States, leaving for Rome in the morning so I spent the day packing and tying up some last minute loose ends. From here on out there will be no more boring posts.

Day Eight: Another lazy day at home. I spent the night packing while the dog gets play outside in the snow.

Day Seven: Went to see a movie at this massive old theater with my sister after grabbing some awesome Thai food.

Day Six: Vince climbs on top of a truck to interrupt my picture of this massive Mal-Mart….what’s with the giant pillars? (Third facade not shown) This was a people watching trip. Needless to say, we found many winners inside.

Day Five: Picking up some last minute things for my trip. My Mom and I make a pit stop at the best place to find sushi in Buffalo, Sakura.

Day Four: Lazy day at home. My dog prefers to lay in front of the heat vents during the winter months.
